Our Mission
Breakthrough Healing Prayer Center is a Christ-centered ecumenical ministry associated with the International Association of Healing Rooms.
We bring people together from different Christian backgrounds and experiences to pray with compassion and expectant faith in Jesus Christ and His power to heal, set free and encourage.
Each time God touches someone they experience His love and we are all reminded His Word is true. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8.
Our Director
Rev. Kris Schonewolf is the Director of the Breakthrough Healing Prayer Center. Kris was working in corporate sales when God called her into ordained ministry in 2009. After pastoring for 14 years (including 3 years in the largest women's prison in the US), God moved her again -
this time to open a new Healing Room in the
Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina.
Kris has a heart to see the hurting and broken healed and whole through the transforming power of God's love and grace. In Isaiah 61:1-3, we see the description of the Messiah's ministry. This passage includes healing and restoration of not only the broken in body, but the broken in heart as well. Breakthrough Healing Prayer Center will offer prayer for physical healing needs as well as emotional healing needs.
Trauma, abuse, bitterness, rejection, addiction, anxiety, and unforgiveness often steal the freedom that Jesus died for, and we pray to see that freedom restored to God's children.
Kris holds a Masters of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary and is ordained and licensed by Global Awakening, based in Mechanicsburg, PA. She is also certified as a Master Equipper from Global Awakening's College of Ministry, where she was trained in physical healing, emotional healing, and deliverance. She also facilitates classes for the
College of Ministry.
